Dad would always drink red wine at the local pizza place for our usual one-a-week outing for a pepperoni pie with onions. The most un-fancy place to get a pizza but the best pizza in town and he’d get red wine in a dinky little red wine glass. It always felt like the most wrong combination but the most right one knowing him.
